-After years of internal development, the young New Peoples government of China looks to the affaris of its neighbors.
-The Chinese form the Asian Socialist Block, aligning themselves with Vietnam and Cambodia.

-Restless Emperor Yohannes of Ethiopia agrees to fund Congolese rebels in exchange for their promise to recognize his authority.
-The Congo finally gains it's independence from Belgium after nearly thirty years of rebellion. It quickly joins the Ethiopian Empire.
-The Tswana rebellion of Botswana throws off British rule with Ethiopian support. Seretse Khama, the movement's leader, is assassinated by Ethiopian agents after the decisive Battle of Gaborone and Ethiopia annexes Botswana. (IIRC)

-Roman Republican Council garners Spanish support, overthrows dictator Aurelio Batista. The Republic of Italy is declared.

In Europe...
-The Republic of Italy defeats remaining Batistan loyalists in Southern Italy and Sicily, finally unifying the country after 4 years of civil war.
- Swiss Dept War begins and ends in a victory for the German-lead coalition forces.
- Prussian forces intervene in Anatolia, successfully retaking the Armenian-controlled coasts on behalf of the Ottoman Empire. They retake and help safeguard the oil town of Erzurum as part of a deal with the Sultan. Prussia is showered with cheap oil as a result of their auxilary support.
- A brief Prussian campaign in Denmark ends in surrender for the Danish. Denmark renounces its socialist government and falls under the Prussian sphere of influence.
- Prussia marches into Austria, proclaiming it part of the German state. Civil unrest ensues, particularly in the Austria territories of Croatia and Slovenia. They are later granted their independence and Austria formerly joins with Prussia.
